$ROCKS & $REDDIES

The MPL economy will be powered by two tokens: $ROCKS and $REDDIES.

$REDDIES

$REDDIES are our ERC-20 token operating in the game. It is a tradable currency. It can be earned in the game, bought on exchanges, and purchased directly in-game. This currency will be used for specific in-game actions, accelerated progress, and entrance into higher-tier contests with larger prize pools. In this release you can use your $REDDIES to:

• Buy additional team slots
• Re-customise your team brand
• Re-customise your players (in the Skill Attribute Re-Generation window)
• Purchase additional matches if you run out of match credits in a given week

COMING SOON $ROCKS

In future releases $ROCKS will be an in-game currency that can be used for a variety of in-game actions. This will not be a tradable currency—and is therefore not an ERC-20 token. $ROCKS will be given to players through means such as:

• Participation & Engagement
  • Daily claim and playing across our game modes.
• Achievements
  • Specific achievements will unlock additional $ROCKS rewards for players.

• Prizes in competitive modes
  • Participation and success in competitive modes will award $ROCKS to players.

Design Choices

We have made a deliberate design decision to operate a single token ERC-20 economy that is augmented by an in-game currency. This design has been driven by specific considerations to allow the full game the best chance of reaching and engaging with the widest audience possible.

The use of $ROCKS allows us to expand our addressable market by allowing us to capture people who are first and foremost interested in sports management games. Then, layer in and introduce web3 elements into a game that they want to play. This flow through will allow us to onboard a significant number of new users, who will convert to paid players over time.

Our existing token $REDDIES therefore becomes a mechanism by which we can reward our users through multiple avenues:

  • Access specific in-game functionality and ability to improve your teams and players more rapidly
• Access Rewards
  • Higher-tier leagues with larger prizes
  • Voting on game direction
