Ways to play

Head 2 Head

• Direct competition against another player.
• Sign up to the daily pool or compete directly against your chosen rival.
• Games can be rated or non-rated.
• Wager $REDDIES against your opponents – winner takes all!
• Limited number per week; additional games can be unlocked with $ROCKS/$REDDIES.

Competitions

• Competitions will be run with different lengths, formats (leagues vs. knock-out), and entry fees ($ROCKS vs. $REDDIES).
• Each competition will not preclude you from entering other competitions at the same time.
• Teams will be broadly aligned with their GAF rating.
• Every game will be rated and influence your GAF rating.
• Teams performing well will be rewarded with $ROCKS/$REDDIES and other prizes.
• Certain competitions will only be open to specific criteria – for example Martian Madness might only be open to those with 3+ Martians in the squad or High Stakes Thursdays will be open to those willing to put their $REDDIES where their mouth is!

Martian Premier League

• The top teams based on their GAF rating will be entered into a “Martian Premier League” where they will have the chance to win the ultimate title against the other top teams.
• Each season will run for 10-12 weeks, and the best teams at this point in time will be taken into the elite MPL competition.
• Gaffer does love a wildcard – and the community will play a role in bringing an unknown star into the MPL every season.

We believe this structure offers the right balance between progress (GAF rating, MPL participation) and ability to jump into multiple tournament formats – maintaining a way for more engaged players to play more – but balancing more casual players from being able to “dip in and out” by only participating in occasional competitions.
